Then I saw Kross’s update in 2014 who stated “viewing oneself in the 3rd person yields the same detachment, so when trying to help yourself, imagine you’re helping a friend.”
I often will say in consults that if someone were a member of my family, I’d recommend…. Good approach for our law firm to take, as well as for personal matters.
This is one of the reasons that we are good at what we do. I try never to recommend something that may cost too much, or go outside of the realm of our reasonable expectations. Some law firms don’t do that. When I was a baby attorney, I worked for a firm who sued too many of its own clients and ran up impossible to pay bills. We don’t do that. If anything, our reviews point to our extremely reasonable fees which are flat fees. You know what it will be in advance. We also tend to hit our targets. Have a look, don’t take my word for it.
If you’ve been thinking you can’t afford an attorney – please don’t pass on the opportunity to meet us (phone/zoom makes it easy) and see exactly where you stand. You might be surprised.
